WHO WE ARE
Part of the Best Tie group (www.besttie.it),REWA(R)D was born to make circularity a double virtue. By reusing scraps of our wool and cotton fabrics we create soft and warm wadding. With this wadding we produce quilts of various weights and sizes, suitable for every bed and every season. We avoid consuming new resources and firmly believe in what we like to call "family certification", a process that focuses on substance and not appearance.

Historically, textile scraps have always returned to our production cycle in the form of yarns and therefore new fabrics. With a view to stemming the surpluses, withREWA(R)D we invented a new use for it. By combining three traditional textile processes, all strictly carried out in Italy, we obtain a soft wadding for padding in the furniture and clothing sector.
Thus in the twenty-first century we rediscover the warmth, softness and naturalness of wool that our grandparents knew so well. We do this by re-evaluating our cuttings, processing them in an environmentally friendly way with only mechanical processes and reducing transport to a minimum.
FROM YARN TO WADDING
WEAVING
Starting from wool and cotton yarns purchased from trusted suppliers, Best Tie weaves and internally raises its own fabrics, intended for the production of tie linings for the most important fashion brands.
CUTTING AND COLLECTION OF CUT OUTS
Once stabilized using steam, the fabrics are laid and cut using computerized cutting to minimize waste. The inevitable cut outs are collected, taking care to eliminate all those components such as paper and cardboard which are recycled separately.

THE TRANSFORMATION
Through a series of textile processes that culminate in the needling phase, we transform the cut outs into a padding that we have called REWA(R)D (from REcycled Registered WADding).

We apply exclusively mechanical processes that do not use chemical products or heat sources, thus guaranteeing the environmental sustainability of the product and contributing to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

OUR WADDING
The REWA(R)D wadding can be produced in the thicknesses and weights requested by the customer. This therefore allows, once the weight has been selected, to obtain both a soft finished product (suitable for example for quilt padding) and a more structured and compact one (felt type, suitable for example for the creation of furnishing elements).
It can be supplied to our customers both in the form of rolls (up to 3 meters in high) and custom-made quilts.

THE TECHNICAL FEATURES
Our waddings REWA(R)D have the following technical features:

variable thickness from 5 to 200 millimetres;

variable weight from 100 to 1000 grams per square meter;

consistency and cohesion adjustable as desired;

thermal resistance equal to 0.12mqK/W for every 100g/mq;
-
uuse of only 100% natural and biodegradable fibres;
-
greater comfort than synthetic fibres.
OUR QUILTS
Using our recycled waddingREWA(R)D we have developed a line of furnishing accessories for the bed. We produce winter, spring and summer toppers and quilts for beds of all sizes, using dense cotton fabrics that prevent the fiber from escaping.
Our products, entirely made with 100% natural biodegradable fibres, provide greater comfort than synthetic fibers and are delivered in a practical bag, also in natural fibre, which can be used both for storing the quilt and in everyone's daily life.
QUILTED PLAIDS
The desire to experiment using our recycled wool wadding also led us to think of a simple, sustainable, versatile object that is rarely found on the markets: a quilted plaid to keep you warm in all seasons. The challenge, however, was to be able to produce something truly, honestly sustainable, with traceability guaranteed by our direct control of all phases and all components.

So, instead of producing new furnishing fabrics, we started looking for new, valuable fabrics, of different but almost exclusively natural compositions, coming from the world of clothing, furnishings and accessories, which for a myriad of different reasons have remained on shelves, unsold, surplus, canceled and so on. This long and meticulous research results in a magical encounter of colors and designs that come together in an elegant mix and match of very different textures (wool and velvet, silk and corduroy, cashmere and silk, linen and very light impalpable wool). which are finally quilted with our padding REWA(R)D.

The plaid is 100% sustainable, obviously it won't be possible to order the desired quantity of the various combinations but it can be arranged as desired in the available quantity: will the market be ready to accept this change in purchasing methods? In true sustainability there are no words like 100% and, above all, adaptation to the supply chain by all interested parties is necessary: in exchange you will find novelty, uniqueness and variety.
